Moss is more than a looks problem
In western Washington, moss is the number one thing that shortens the life of an asphalt shingle roof. It soaks up rain and keeps the shingles wet for days, its roots creep under the edges and lift them, and the debris it sheds clogs your gutters. The longer it stays, the harder it is on the roof.
Why we never pressure wash a roof
High pressure tears the protective granules off shingles, which is exactly what keeps them working. It can also drive water under the tabs and into the decking. So we don't do it.
Instead, we hand-clear the heavy clumps of moss, then apply a soft wash roof treatment at low pressure. It kills the moss, lichen and black algae streaks down to the root. Some dead moss rinses off right away and the rest weathers off with the next rains over the following weeks.
What's included

- Low-pressure soft wash treatment of the full roof surface
