Not the way we do it. Siding and roofs get a soft wash: low pressure plus a cleaning solution that does the work, so nothing gets forced under laps or shingles. High pressure is saved for concrete and surfaces built to take it.
It depends on shade and how close the trees are, but soft washing kills the growth instead of just knocking the top layer off, so results last a lot longer. Most homes around Arlington look great with a wash every one to two years.
